Job Summary & Responsibilities

Tate Enterprises Ltd. is the trading arm of Tate. Its chief areas of operation are retailing on four sites, publishing (both Tate exhibition catalogues and general art books, as well as illustrated children’s books), product development, picture library and licensing.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Tate Enterprises’s busy and dynamic Merchandise team and to contribute to the growing and successful department. It’s the Merchandise team’s challenge to manage stock in order to hit financial targets such as sales, profit and stock turn and to make sure the stock is in the right place at the right time. From reports and data, you will be expected to identify any opportunities for sales and any risks to stock and profits. The Assistant Merchandiser will report to the Merchandise manager.

To be successful you will have to had a least a year’s experience in a busy merchandise department to be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and have a positive approach to a varied workload. You will need to demonstrate a good working knowledge of MS Excel and be an organised, effective multi-tasker.
