The Sculpture and Installation conservation department is looking for an enthusiastic person with an interest in contemporary art and modern materials to join their team.

This entry level role will primarily focus on the loans out programme ensuring that art works are condition checked, packed and installed to Tate standards. 
The post holder will also be preparing works for our exciting exhibitions and displays programme across the four sites and will support our collections care initiatives.
The Sculpture and Installation team are one of five teams within the Conservation department at Tate which is part of the wider Collections Care division, also comprising Library and Archive and Collection Management departments. The Division works across all Tate sites; Tate Liverpool, Tate St Ives and our central London sites (Tate Britain, Tate Modern and Tate Stores).
This role will work across all Tate sites as well as have the training and opportunity to work across the UK and internationally, enabling the sharing of Tate’s collections.
The post requires a range of knowledge of materials such as metals, stone, textiles, organics, modern materials, plastics, foodstuffs, ceramic, glass, mechanisms and moving parts, preventive conservation and packing of artworks. We are looking for someone who holds a recognised qualification in conservation or has equivalent relevant training and/or experience, is able to work under supervision as well as independently and has strong communication skills.
