Administrator, Research

Art Finance, Art Museums and Institutions
   Location: London
   Salary: £22,450
Experience: Junior-Mid Level
  Organisation: Tate
Deadline: 31/05/2019

We are looking for someone to join Tate Research to provide administrative support to assist in the smooth running of the department. You will be joining the team at an exciting moment, following the recent combining of Research with Learning into one department. Scholarship forms a central part of Tate’s overarching vision and we are drafting a new strategy and delivery plan for research that will be implemented across the organisation in 2019.

In this role you will provide general and financial administrative assistance to all aspects of Tate Research and personal assistant support to the Head of Research and Head of Collection Care Research. Working across the Research department you will assist with financial processes and be the first point of contact for enquiries about Research from colleagues across Tate, as well as external partners.

You will be joining a team committed to creating a vibrant research culture across Tate that generates high quality research about art and ideas of institutional, national and international significance, shared with a wide and diverse public.

You do not need to be an arts specialist to join Tate Research. We are keen to recruit someone who is passionate about research and the arts, who is self-motivated and very well-organised. We are looking for someone who is an excellent team player, with experience of a range of administrative and financial duties within a busy office environment.

Tate aims to attract and retain talented people from all backgrounds. We particularly encourage applications from black, ethnic minority, and/or disabled applicants as these are currently underrepresented in the cultural sector.
