The Artist Liaison traineeship at Hauser & Wirth London is a full-time position undertaken for a period of twelve months. You will be assigned a range of tasks that ensure you gain an understanding of how Hauser & Wirth operates, with a focus on supporting the Artist Liaison department.

Tasks will include, but not be limited to:

  • Research for artist publications and exhibitions
  • Assisting the Artist Liaisons and Archivist where necessary with artist archives e.g. updating artist biographies, bibliographies, artwork, exhibition and literature databases
  • Day to day departmental duties e.g. assisting with artist travel & accommodation arrangements, compiling checklists and image collections
  • Managing internal calendars
  • Compiling press updates for studios
  • Providing Database and Picture Library support to the Archivist where needed
  • Drafting schedules and itineraries
  • Support the Artist Liaisons with research for production of new artworks and artist projects (gallery internal and external)
  • General gallery duties e.g. assistance with mailouts, Front Desk support, archiving, post, and private views
  • Handle internal and external image requests supporting Artist Liaison and Archivist
  • Liaising with museums to request images for the gallery archive supporting Artist Liaison and Archivist



  • Fluent in English (Knowledge of another language is an advantage)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Organised with an ability to prioritise and work autonomously
  • Computer literate (experience with Word, Excel, InDesign, Photoshop and Excel preferable)
  • Candidate should be meticulous with attention to detail, especially relating to data entry
  • Proactive attitude
