Tate’s Collection Care Division is responsible for ensuring that collections are available and accessible to the public. Its operations embrace the management, research, care and conservation of the art, archive and library collections.

The Collection Management department brings excellence and innovation to the care of Tate’s collections. The department is responsible for the logistical, legal, practical and technical aspects of looking after, moving, recording and installing the works of art in Tate’s care and for facilitating the delivery of Tate’s programme. This is a great opportunity to join our team of Registrars and be a part of the work that we do.

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience of registrarial work with a museum collection with experience of auditing, documentation and cataloguing, including using a collection management database and supporting applications.

Your excellent organisation and planning skills will be coupled with experience of working to national/international museum standards for transportation, packing, handling and environmental requirements, including good knowledge of British government indemnity.

With a flexible approach and the ability to work well under pressure you will be able to meet deadlines whilst retaining excellent attention to detail. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will also mean that you communicate diplomatically and effectively at all levels, both internally and with external contacts.

We have two positions available, a Collection Registrar role with specific focus on Loans Out and a Collection Registrar role with specific focus on Acquisitions, supporting capacity building for sharing collections. Please see further details in the Job Description for each role attached.
