Are you a skilled negotiator, able to navigate and successfully deliver on complex and challenging projects, initiatives and relationships? Do you have a track record for implementing new strategies and programmes?
As a member of Tate Modern’s senior management team reporting to the Director, Tate Modern and the Chief Operating Officer, Tate, you will help to extend Tate’s reach and enhance Tate’s reputation for effective collaboration and exchange internationally, shaping and implementing the touring collection programme and the consultancy and training programme, working with colleagues in all departments and working within the overall strategic framework for Tate. You will develop Tate’s reputation for innovation and collaboration and expand Tate’s audience, beyond the four Tate galleries, raising funding and income for and from these activities.
Recognised for your vision and innovation surrounding business planning and strategy implementation, you will have an extensive, up to date network of international museum, gallery and arts institution contacts and exhibition agencies, and knowledge of internationally engaged organisations. You will also possess excellent project and financial management skills and competence in managing complex partnerships.
You will be able to combine your skilled negotiation expertise with excellent operational and leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively and make an effective contribution to a senior management team. With an inclusive leadership style, you will possess the ability to inspire your colleagues, share your expertise and motivate and support the development of our team and projects. International in your outlook, the ability to be innovative and visionary to deliver initiatives and projects will be essential.
This position is offered on a 3-year fixed-term contract.
