Events & Digital Marketing Manager (FTC)

The Role:

Christie’s Education is a specialist provider of art world education. The institute is accredited regionally by the OU in the UK, and the New York State Board of Regents in the US to provide opportunities for study at postgraduate and certificate levels.

The purpose of this FTC role is to ensure the smooth co-ordination and delivery of events, execution of marketing campaigns, and management of content across all digital channels for Higher Education.

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

General Marketing and Events

  • Execute the delivery and coordination of all types of events ranging from student events, alumni events, graduation ceremonies, lecture series, strategic partnerships and academic conferences
  • Execute provision of events and symposia for higher education globally, according to agreed plan, including event registration management, planning, communications, marketing campaigns, collateral and guest relations
  • Point of contact for all events on London campus including liaising with catering, facilities, security, events team and operations
  • Manage the events administration including booking templates, checklists and general oversight of compliance with company policies and procedures especially in respect of events management, health and safety, and GDPR
  • Co-ordinate and execute marketing campaigns, including preparing creative briefs with designers and liaising with third party suppliers
  • In consultation with faculty and senior staff, produce content to be published across all digital channels including website, microsites, portals and social media channels
  • Working in collaboration with students, academics, and designers, support the production of the annual student publication C# Magazine, help manage the student events, promotional campaigns and distribution
  • Execute email communications to students, staff and alumni including newsletters, monthly online magazine, and offerings
  • Support the maintenance of CE website information relating to higher education students and alumni, ensuring its updated, accurate, and complies with consumer and industry standards
  • Manage the production of video content for alumni members to build alumni section of website and portal, with aim to raise profiles and the alumni association
  • Mailbox maintenance for dedicated HE accounts and responding to queries
  • Ensure all marketing materials that they are responsible for HE are delivered according to brand guidelines, exceed high standards, and within deadline.
  • Undertake any administration support of the production process for marketing and events where necessary, including liaising with relevant members of the faculty

Digital

  • Content creation for posting and live streaming of events across all relevant social media channels
  • Social media channels day to day management for London and New York targeted at HE and alumni audiences
  • Support Global Marketing Director in building microsites for events and academic conferences and manage content updates across site in lead up to and post conference, according to directions given
  • Gather updates of faculty activity and ensure that information access points are kept up to date, especially with regard to sections including faculty biographies
  • Support students and provide them with assistance to use CE social media channels. eg Instagram stories and takeovers for student field trips, and projects as part of course curriculum. Produce student guidelines for this purpose
  • Publish alumni content onto CE website, social media channels and alumni portal including video interviews
  • Ongoing maintenance of data in CRM systems
  • Provide reports on digital content performance as required
  • Manage alumni portal and alumni account access
  • Data entry management on Filemaker (historical student database), alumni portal, and support data migration as required
  • Support ongoing management of virtual learning environment for students in London and New York
  • Student Administration System – content management and input as required

Teamwork

  • Be an active member of the team and support the ongoing professional development of the marketing apprentice
  • Responsible for mentoring interns or volunteers that assist with events

Enhancing Christie’s Education Brand

  • Support the delivery of the Christie’s experience to students and alumni
  • Represent Christie’s Education and build alliances and networks of key influencers
  • Promote the alumni association and raise profile of alumni members within industry
  • Work with the Front of House and Events teams to ensure all materials are supplied where necessary
  • Deliver higher education events such as symposia and conferences to the highest standards, ensuring supply of top quality marketing materials and assets, and supporting logistics where necessary
  • Promote the student production of C# Magazine and events on social media to showcase achievements
  • Support New York and London Careers Officers’ work with alumni

Skills and Experience:

  • History of Art Degree or Marketing Degree
  • Experience of working in an Academic institution
  • Able to build strong collaborative relationships with students
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to create and edit copy
  • A good working understanding of all forms of social media and how it can be utilised in academia to broaden engagement with students and as a learning tool.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Confident using Mac and PC
  • Knowledge of website/SEO/CMS and email building and deployment preferable
  • Passionate about digital, events and marketing
  • Excellent client facing skills and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Commitment to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise work and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a flexible and positive approach to new tasks and responsibilities
