Job vacancy:  Assistant Curator, Performance

Since its opening in London in 2000, Tate Modern’s programme of major temporary exhibitions, collection displays, commissions, film programmes, live events and projects have developed in diversity, international scope and profile.

This new vacancy for the Assistant Curator role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, organisation and management of Tate Modern’s performance programme and related events and projects as well as supporting the development of Tate’s collection of international art, in particular the acquisition of performance related art works.

With proven relevant experience, you will have a broad knowledge of international twentieth century and contemporary art, with particular interest in performance and interdisciplinary practices.

Your well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to work collaboratively with colleagues across Tate will be matched by your outstanding organisational and administrative skills. You will communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including artists, performers, curators, designers, artist’s agents, sponsors and fabricators as well as being on hand to assist in the logistics of staging the programme.
