Graduate Intern, UK Chairman’s Office

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:  

To provide day-to-day support to the UK Chairman’s Office.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks:

(Duties include but are not limited to the following)

  • Support all members of the UK Chairman’s Office, reporting to the Business Development Manager
  • Assist members of the UK Chairman’s Office with general administration and special projects
  • Special projects might include collection sales, Beau’s, Christie’s Lates, boardroom lunches and special events
  • Cover telephones during periods of absence
  • Be responsible for refreshments cabinet/fridge (replenish refreshments, maintain crockery stock, assist in set up for UK Chairman’s Office meetings)
  • Be responsible for stationery orders
  • Ensure a copy of all upcoming Christie’s catalogues is on display in the Chairman’s Office and relevant catalogues are then safely stored after sale
  • Scan daily newspapers and magazine for business-related articles, flagging any UK business opportunities to the Business Development Manager
  • Assist with collating material for the weekly UK Business Forum
  • Assist with gathering information and preparing slides for the monthly Ambassador Meetings
  • Prepare material for the bi-weekly UK Buyers Review and the monthly UK Client Engagement meeting
  • Responsible for updating the Upcoming Events list monthly.
  • Assist with processing expenses for members of the UK Chairman’s Office and invoices for Ambassadors and Consultants

Skills/Competencies Required:

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with superiors and peers
  • Client facing experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Previous relevant work experience
