Part of the Development division, the Development Office is responsible for all fundraising at Tate, implementing strategies to raise support from all sectors for a variety of revenue and capital projects. It raises money from corporate events, membership, sponsorship, trusts and foundations, the public sector, and individual donors. Having expanded to meet growing gallery needs, this fundraising team has become one of the most successful in the UK.
We are looking for a fundraiser or someone who has comparable experience to join our Patrons team within the Development Office.
You will play a key role in the recruitment and stewarding of Patrons with a focus on the Young Patrons programme; we currently have 170 Young Patrons. You will be responsible for planning an effective recruitment and engagement strategy for the Young Patrons, overseeing a portfolio of current and prospective Patrons at all levels, and managing the planning and production of the Young Patrons programme to ensure that income targets are achieved. This role will include overall management of the annual Young Patrons Party planned every summer including sourcing and managing the Party’s corporate supporters.
You will have proven project management experience and a successful track record in fundraising or relevant client development. Entrepreneurial and highly motivated, with strong interpersonal skills, you will think creatively about our programmes and maintain outstanding levels of donor stewardship and satisfaction.
You will be able to work across a large and complex organisation, and will have an excellent eye for detail and outstanding communication skills, especially in writing.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will start at the beginning of January 2019.
