Vacancy Summary

You will be responsible for assisting in the Christie Manson & Woods Ltd FCRC team to provide day-to-day accounting operations support for the business, along with the timely and accurate closing of the monthly results for London, Amsterdam, Dubai and regional entities.
You will be a strong team player, highly motivated and will provide a high level of customer service. You will be technically strong and perceptive, using your analytical skills to detect anomalies and flag anything suspicious to management on an ongoing basis.

Primary Responsibilities

Daily Activities

  • To manage a portfolio of around 10 companies for daily accountancy, month end reconciliations and review / clearing balances
  • To be a point of contact for the clients on the portfolio to answer queries and ensure the entity remains compliant with regulations.
  • Driving the month-end closing process – this will include posting journals, consolidating group results and producing analysis
  • Coordinating returns from subsidiary companies
  • Managing intercompany charges and balances
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP

Quarterly Activities

  • Assist in the preparation of the AA Packs
  • Preparation and review of regional office local accountants submitted packs and upload into JDE

H1 Activities

  • Preparing the statutory accounts to review stage or review those prepared by outsourced accountants • Communication with auditors (where applicable) for clients at year end. • Drafting and completion of tax pack for companies

Skills & Qualifications

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with 2/3 years PQE
  • QBE – but must have extensive financial accounting experience, and should be able to demonstrate this
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of companies
  • IFRS desirable
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Willingness to understand what other teams do and learn how processes affect other teams/departments
  • Comfortable interacting with stakeholders in multiple overseas jurisdictions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity and strong compliance attitude
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Proficient in excel – JDE knowledge is desirable
