Our client, a London and US based international visual arts PR agency that delivers strategic brand development, media relations, social media and digital campaigns, is looking for an Audience Development person for their London office.

Job Description

All Staff:
• Contribute creative PR, marketing and brand development ideas
• In depth knowledge of visual art subject matter
• Represent the agency through networking
• Attend private views and events
• Generate ideas and create socially shareable content
• Maintain confidentiality
• Relationship building with colleagues

Business Development
• Create and develop a growth strategy for the business internationally
• Promote the company at every appropriate opportunity
• Actively seek promotional opportunities for the company
• Develop and maintain a record keeping system of new business acquisition
• Build long term relationships with new and existing clients
• Engender confidence in company staff to network and seek new business leads
• Develop new income streams or profile opportunities for the business such as talks and training
• Identify where other team’s activities can be more commercially driven to maximize the income and / or profile potential for the agency
• Work in collaboration with the digital team to ensure the website and social media feeds best reflect the agency and drive new business

New Business
• Lead on the creation of proposals, developing new ideas and ensuring a bespoke approach is taken to each
• Manage the pitching process and incoming requests
• Actively take responsibility for seeking new business
• Develop ideas for business development and brand partnerships
• Increase profile and visibility of the agency through networking
• Attend Senior Management new business meetings, leading on reporting on business performance and presenting new ideas
• Develop and create case studies
• Support the development of the agency internationally

Strategic Delivery
• Create and assist with the delivery of client development strategies
• Monitor, review and report on business development activity and outcomes

Audience Development
• Use and maintain the agency’s VIP database to support your work
• In collaboration with Senior Management, manage relationships with museums, curators, art advisors, patrons groups, art fairs and other arts organisations
• Develop a strategy to engage with local, UK based and global collectors, VIPs and influencers to ensure they are aware of client’s activities
• Offer bespoke opportunities for speaking opportunities and events for clients, tailored to their interests and target audiences
• Support all teams with the preparation of guest lists for events

Sponsorship and strategic partnerships
• Proactively identify where collaboration would strategically benefit client’s activity within the international marketplace
• Develop relationships with brands and corporate companies
• Create clear, compelling, and creative presentations to communicate potential collaborations

 

Salary dependent on experience. Client is considering two options for this role – either having a senior consultant/part time individual work with them, and a director’s assistant. Or alternatively a mid-level audience development person. It will depend on the candidate’s experience and network.
