We are looking for two experienced Volunteers Managers to look after our Volunteer Visitor Host programmes at Tate Britain and Tate Modern, nurturing our large team of volunteers and inspiring them to offer our visitors an exceptional welcome and experience.
You will have a focus on managing the Volunteer Hosts programme, working closely with the Volunteer Manager who focusses on the Volunteer Guides programme and you may work across both programmes to support with recruitment and training. You will lead projects on volunteer recruitment with a strong focus on diversity and inclusion and on volunteer training. Additionally, you will line manage a Volunteer Coordinator ensuring that they deliver great volunteer support at Tate.
With a clear passion for offering outstanding visitor care, and a track record of working with others to deliver a high-quality programme, you will have experience of managing large numbers of volunteers. Your knowledge of best practice in volunteer management will include an understanding of the principles of equality and diversity, and experience of reducing barriers to diversity in volunteer involvement.
Your ability to develop creative approaches to engaging with, motivating and developing volunteers will be coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of supporting people with a range of needs. You will have proven experience of working with and developing mutually beneficial relationships with community organisations. Your excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise and delegate will help ensure that projects are completed to a high standard and to tight deadlines.
